Farming sustainably
We cultivate a variety of crops using sustainable methods to complement our livestock farming. Our main arable productions include:
- Wheat and Oats – Used for both animal feed and direct sales.
- Peas and Beans – Planted in rotation, help to put Nitrogen back into the soil
- Stubble turnips – Help to aerate soil and provides extra winter sheep grazing
- Herbal leys – Used in arable rotation to improve soil quality
- Hay and Haylage – For feeding our livestock during the winter months.
